Description

These 2 pictiures ( above and below) are pictures of our Female bird, H/D.

She did have an Orange Darvic ring on her left leg but lost it in 2009.

She hatched out near Aberfoyle in 1998 and has nested in Galloway since at least 2004.

To tell H/D apart from our current male EP, she has a whiter head with a dark strip down the middle.

H/D is a very successful mother and has reared many successful chicks. EP is her second mate that we know of since following her story as her first mate, BS, did not return in 2007.

The picture above is of our first Male BS who failed to return in 2007.

 

This picture above is of our male EP. he has a yellow Darvic ring on his left leg.

He was hatched and ringed at the RSPB Abernethy Forest Reserve in 2003.

We first viewed EP on the 14th April 2007
