Look forward to hatching

As we expected, no  more eggs have been laid, and our two ospreys have settled down to the business of incubating their three eggs. The female, H/D , does most of the sitting, whilst her mate, EP, brings her a regular supply of fish, to replenish all the energy she used producing the eggs. However, EP  is a true 'new man' and takes his turn at sitting on the eggs so that H/D can feed and go for a clean-up. They look the picture of contentment! Now we must wait: the earliest date we expect the first egg to hatch is May 24th, so keep an eye on this space.
